Elijah prides of over 15 years of progressive professional growth as a transformational, leader with success delivering risk management, disaster recovery & operations methodologies at the Kenya Red Cross and Member of the Senior Management & Strategy Team. Also lead in policy development and alignment of Disaster Risk Management (DRM) to organizational, National and Global Strategies. He has successfully integrated innovation and knowledge management in programme management while still leading the participation in Global initiatives i.e. Road-map to Sendai Framework, Sustainable Development Goals- SDG, Conferences of Parties on Climate Change UN FCCC, Pan-African conferences on Disaster Risk Reduction among others.

Academic experiences include: Egerton and Masinde Muliro Universities in Kenya, McGill University in Canada, FGV in Brazil; Lancaster University in England; IIMB in India; Renmin University in China

Has a broad professional base spanning across food security, disaster management, climate change adaptation, programme design and management to organization executive management and Meta Coaching. Has interphase working right at the bottom of the pyramid with communities on risk reduction to the highest levels of policy on risk management and frameworks.
