The Global Fund

Cynthia Mwase is the Head of the Africa and Middle East department of Grant management Division at the Global Fund.  She is responsible for managing the implementation of Global Fund agreed grants in 41 countries.  This includes ensuring the necessary collaboration and partnerships are in place and mobilizing leadership support and ownership in the countries covered. She is currently one of the in-house champions for the Adolescent girls and young women’s work in-house and also a champion for the Innovation in program delivery initiatives.

Cynthia has over 20 years’ experience working in several African countries working with various international development organizations including The Global Fund, Tearfund, Oxfam, and ACCORD.  An experienced Program manager having led in the design and delivery of community programs in Public health, Livelihoods improvement and Environment sustainability
