Mr. Sunya Morongei Orre is an expert in drought risk management and food security at the  National Drought Management Authority, Kenya where he holds the position of the Director Technical Services which is responsible for Kenya’s drought early warning, resilience, contingency planning and response. Mr. Orre worked in different positions in the Government. Prior to this post, he served as the Deputy Director Environmental Programs and Projects in the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources. Mr. Orre also coordinated food security policies and programs while working for the Kenya’s Agricultural Sector Coordination Unit. Mr. Orre holds a degree in Animal Science and a post-graduate degree in Range Management (Economics option) from the University of Nairobi.
