Lydia Opiyo is a partnership development specialist who works to strengthen stakeholder and partner’s engagement, inclusion and participation in development processes. Lydia has over 7 years of experience working on international development programs focusing on youth employability and partnership development within East and Central Africa. Lydia has experience in Program Development, Management, Implementation and Evaluation, Partnership Development and Management, System Monitoring, People Management, Communication material Development and Proposal Writing in areas of Youth Engagement and Empowerment, Sexual Reproductive Health and Youth Employ-ability. She is also skilled in the area of partner’s capacity building. Lydia is currently overseeing work in 14 different countries, managing partnerships with multilateral, academic institutions, government institutions, private sector, funding agencies, foundations, community based organizations and non-governmental organisations. Lydia holds a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies and Community Development from Kenyatta University and a Master's degree in Sustainable Development from SOAS, University of London. She is a member of Project Management Institute a leading international professional body; not-for-profit professional membership association for the project management professions and also a member of The Chartered Body For The Project Profession- Association for project management, an international professional body committed to developing and promoting project and programme management . Lydia has worked for both DFID and USAID Funded programs.
