At Girl Effect, Laura is the founder and Director of TEGA – an award winning mobile-based girl operated research tool. TEGA trains girl living in poverty to research other girls like them, using bespoke mobile technology. TEGA conducts research for Girl Effect and some of the world’s leading development organisations.

TEGA is now live in Africa, Asia and America with a mission to combine the power of girls and technology to close the gender data gap and unlock meaningful change for the 213 million girls living in poverty.

Prior to joining Girl Effect in September 2013, Laura specialised in brand strategy and innovation for 10 years. Her final brand role was Head of Creation at global communication agency Mindshare. Here she co-led a team of 30 in designing data, digital and technology driven ideas for clients including Nike, HSBC, Unilever, Sony Music and Kimberly Clark. Her last success was winning the prestigious Cannes Gold Lion for Best Digital Idea in 2013.
