Chiara Lucchini Gilera is IOM’s Regional Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) coordinator for the East and Horn of Africa. Based in Nairobi, she oversees the DTM portfolio in South Sudan, Ethiopia, Somalia, Djibouti, Uganda and Burundi working within the IOM Regional Data Hub. A graduate of Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), Chiara has worked on emergency and transition programming in Haiti, Central African Republic, Senegal and Myanmar as well as on satellite navigation systems for the European Commission in Brussels.
