Eunice Ndonga-Githinji is the Executive Director of the Refugee Consortium Kenya (RCK). She previously worked as the Head of the Legal and Social Justice Programme (2005-2009) and as a Senior Programme Officer at the RCK. Ndonga-Githinji has over 16 years of experience in programme management, advocacy, fundraising, monitoring and evaluation complimented by an in depth understanding of regional and international instruments relating to protection and assistance of refugees and displaced persons. She previously worked at Uraia Trust and with the UN Women Country Office for Kenya as well as the International Organization for Migration (IOM) as a Senior Project Development and Implementation Officer. Ndonga-Githinji presented the Eastern African NGO’s brief for the High Level Leaders Round Table at this year’s World Humanitarian Summit and the RCK's 'whole-society-response to refugees' at the 2016 UN Summit Refugees and Migrants. During the Second High Level Meeting (HLM2) of the Global Partnership of Effective Development Cooperation (GPEDC) held in Nairobi in 2016, Ndonga -Githinji was a panel discussant on “Meeting the SDGs: Linking Development Cooperation to Humanitarian Responses and Comprehensive Solutions for Refugees and Migrants’
Ms. Ndonga holds a Master of Arts Degree in International Studies and Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Work from the University of Nairobi. She has extensive training on forced migration and refugees issues from various International Training Centres across the globe.
