Carolyne Kanaiza   currently works at International Rescue Committee  as a Regional Emergency Preparedness Coordinator supporting 9 countries in Horn and East Africa Including Yemen and Zimbabwe prepare to effectively and timely respond to acute and protracted emergencies, through development of Emergency preparedness Plans, establishment of competent Country Emergency teams focusing on national staff as well facilitating cash program prepositioning, facilitating capacity strengthening   of country teams and local partners  through mentorship  and managing online learning.

Carolyne has 10 years’ experience as a frontline emergency responder  as well as working at Regional and Headquarter level as a Technical Advisor in Nutrition, Food Security, Cash Programing,  Disaster Risk Management, Policy analysis    and  Humanitarian Strategy Development.  Carolyne has an MSc in Community Nutrition and Development as well as A Masters in International Development  Administration- Disaster Risk Management
