Danny Labin is the Vice President of International Projects at Sesame Workshop, the educational nonprofit organization based in New York that produces “Sesame Street” and other educational media around the world. Danny is responsible for developing and distributing content that drives social impact with a vast network of partners. Danny has worked across the field of educational media in various roles that span educational content and research, project management and international business development. Danny has overseen several Sesame Street coproduction projects in multiple countries that have harnessed the power of media to deliver culturally relevant content for children, parents and educators. Danny also served as the Chief Operating Officer & Managing Director of The Channel HOP! Group, Israel’s leading children’s content producer and global consortium of family entertainment channels. In that capacity, Danny forged new content acquisition and broadcast partnership models with global production companies and raised new sources of revenue through private sector investment, NGO partnerships and philanthropic grants. Danny previously served as the Associate Vice President of Global Programs at the Jewish Federations of North America, one of the world’s largest philanthropic organizations, where he oversaw program design and allocation of funds to new initiatives promoting inclusion, pluralism and economic development. Danny led the foundation’s emergency assistance strategy for humanitarian crises, including the 2015 Nepal Earthquake Relief Fund. Originally from Los Angeles, Danny holds a master’s degree in education from Harvard University.
