Christopher Ommes is passionate about contributing towards major global development and humanitarian issues, including economic empowerment, education, environment, health, science and technology. Christopher is currently the Deputy Director of Operations with the International Rescue Committee (IRC), Kenya Program. He has over 15 years operational leadership success, working with large NGOs in Africa, at both regional and country level. Christopher previously worked with the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) as Regional Director Operations, General Manager for a leading UK based health solutions company EMIS formerly Ascribe Limited, Chief Executive Officer for Sphere Business Africa Limited. He has worked with the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), the Department of International Development (UK’s DFID) including UNHCR and WHO. He holds MBA in strategic management and a BA in Building Economics.
